Rather than start from a blank project, you can browse ready-made document templates at yatate.app/documents - search for something close to what you need (a price sheet, a spec sheet, a membership card, whatever's there) and download its .yatate file.

Bringing a downloaded .yatate file into the app

  1. Open the Projects list.
  2. Tap the Import (upload) icon in the app bar.
  3. Pick the .yatate file you downloaded.

It unpacks into your projects folder under a name derived from the file itself. If a project with that name already exists, you'll be asked to confirm before anything gets overwritten.

A .yatate file is a project template - everything needed to recreate the document (form.json, layout JSON, scripts, autocomplete.json, base.pdf, assets/, fonts/), minus any previously-generated PDFs. Once imported, it's a normal project - open it into its form to use it as-is, or into the Project Files screen to customize it (swap in your own logo, adjust fields, restyle the layout).

Exporting your own project the same way, to share it or move it to another device, is covered in the Project Files screen.
